Bishkek, Feb. 15, 2022 . / Kabar /. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov familiarized with the course of reconstruction of Bishkek-Kara-Balta road as part of his working trip to Chui Oblast, his press service said Tuesday.
Minister of Transport and Communications of Kyrgyzstan Erkinbek Osoyev reported that currently there is reconstruction of the remaining 7.4 km of the total length of 52.5 km of the Bishkek-Kara-Balta road. The main carriageway of the reconstructed road in the settlements will become six-lane, 3.5 meters wide.
Besides, the Kyrgyz leader was presented a project for the reconstruction of the northern bypass road of Bishkek. According to the reconstruction project, the highway will be widened, interchanges, sidewalks and pedestrian overpasses will be built on it.
The total length of the bypass road is 34 km. It is planned to attract investors to the reconstruction of the northern bypass road.
The president was pleased to emphasize that the implementation of these projects will reduce the traffic load and will increase the convenience for citizens when entering and leaving the capital of the country.
Zhaparov instructed the Ministry of Transport and Communications to complete the reconstruction of the Bishkek-Kara-Balta road by the end of 2022 and monitor the timely and quality performance of construction work.
He also instructed to accelerate work on the project of construction of the northern bypass road of Bishkek and the bypass on Profsoyuznaya Street to ensure continuous, safe and comfortable movement of vehicles.
