President is in Osh Oblast

Bishkek, June 10, 2020 / Kabar /. President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov continues his working trips to the regions of the country. Today, he has arrived in Osh Oblast with a two-day working trip, the president’s press service reported.

On the first day of the trip, Sooronbay Jeenbekov will visit Osh city on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the June events. He will honor the memory of those killed during the June events, lay flowers at the memorial complex “Tears of Mothers”.

During the working trip, the president will familiarize himself with the implementation of projects to provide the population with clean drinking water and the expansion of irrigation networks, as well as with the activities of industrial and agricultural facilities in the city of Osh and Aravan region in Osh oblast.

Ten years ago, on June 10, 2010 the clashes between Uzbeks and Kyrgyz have started in the south of Kyrgyzstan.

Hundreds of people were killed during the etnich conflict. Dozens of people remain missing.
