Bishkek, May 4, 2018. / Kabar /. "Issyk-Kul Lake is not only an object for business or making money. First of all, this is an invaluable pearl of our country, we all must take care of it!," President Soboronbay Jeenbekov said today during a meeting with the residents of Issyk-Kul region as part of his two-day working visit to Issyk-Kul oblast.
He said that civil activists and volunteers actively participate in the work on preserving the ecology of Issyk-Kul, the President's press service reported.
"I call on everyone to take care of Issyk-Kul, pay special attention to the preservation of its ecology! Yes, in the field of tourism, local people earn their bread, but we must not forget that the lake in the first place is not only an object for business or making money, it is an invaluable pearl of our country! Therefore, first of all local residents, then tourists - all of us should not be indifferent to the ecological situation in Issyk-Kul and do everything possible to preserve it," he said.
At the same time, Jeenbekov noted the importance of infrastructure development, construction of roads, improvement of service and services in the sphere of tourism development.
