Bishkek, Sept. 6, 2020 /Kabar/. "All available funds in the country, including those of funds and banks, are directed to the development of the processing industry", President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Jeenbekov said Saturday in his interview with the state radio.

"We channel funds not only to agriculture, but also to the processing industry in general, to those who create jobs and to those who are engaged in export. The flow of external migration was significantly increased also because it was impossible to sell the manufactured products," the president stressed.

At the same time, he noted the state cannot buy all the products, but its task is to create conditions for entrepreneurship development.

"We have provided them with long-term loans at low interest rates and tax benefits. We have a lot of entrepreneurs who have good ideas and projects. There are many of them in rural areas as well. But we need funds to implement them. Banks provide loans for two or three years at a 20% rate. If they even want to get such a loan, they do not have the appropriate collateral. Therefore, they do not manage to start their own business. In order to solve this problem, the state has created the Guarantee Fund and increased its authorized capital," the head of state explained.

President Jeenbekov noted that new laboratories meeting the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) standards were built and the old ones repaired, as well as funds were allocated for phytosanitary and veterinary laboratories equipped with modern equipment.

"It should be noted that Russia has well supported our efforts in this direction. We have built laboratories that meet international standards, obtained permission to export and now our dairy products are freely exported outside the country. Currently, 13 companies are able to supply milk powder to China. There should be no significant problems in this area, as our dairy products are competitive on foreign markets due to their environmental friendliness and quality," the Kyrgyz leader stressed.

Sooronbay Jeenbekov told about his visit to Naryn Oblast of the country, where he was satisfied with how the Russian-Kyrgyz Foundation, the Guarantee Fund and Ayil Bank OJSC provide long-term loans to dairy enterprises.

"As soon as Kochkor Dairy Plant is put into operation next year, the problem of milk procurement from the population of Naryn Oblast will be solved. Our goal is to revive the processing of milk, meat, hide and wool produced in Kyrgyzstan by creating appropriate conditions for entrepreneurs. Our task, I repeat, is to support entrepreneurs with long-term loans at low interest rates, provide them with tax benefits and help them to export. This process has already been launched and is gaining momentum," the head of state noted.
