Bishkek, Nov. 29, 2018. / Kabar /. Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov received today Oleg Belozerov, Director General of Russian Railways (RZD) OJSC, the president’s press service reported.
At the meeting Jeenbekov noted a high level of political cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Russia based on strategic partnership and alliance, which predetermines the need to further build up and intensify bilateral cooperation.
“The sides have a large untapped potential in the field of railway cooperation. Your visit to Kyrgyzstan is one of the practical results of our agreement with Russian President Vladimir Putin,” said Jeenbekov.
He expressed confidence that joint efforts will achieve positive results, and outlined concrete plans for further fruitful cooperation.
Director General of Russian Railways stressed that long-standing, trusting relationships have developed in the field of railway cooperation between the countries based on each other’s support, which only become closer over time.
“We have a single technological base, we are showing good joint results, both in bilateral cooperation and in the framework of participation in the Council for Rail Transport of the Commonwealth and Baltic States Parties,” said Oleg Belozerov and provided information on the development prospects of the railway sector and opportunities interaction between the two countries.
