Bishkek, Jan.8, 2020. /Kabar/. Today, Jan. 8 Kyrgyz leader Sooronbay Jeenbekov held a meeting with heads of structural units of the President’s Office.
The meeting participants summed up results of 2019, and discussed goals and priority tasks for 2020, the press service of the President said Wednesday.
Sooronbay Jeenbekov drew attention to the need for timely and high-quality implementation of activities, planned in the framework of declared Year of Regional Development, Digitalization of the Country and Support for Children.
He stressed the importance of further effective cooperation with all branches of government to implement the tasks, aimed at developing the country's economy and improving the welfare of Kyrgyzstanis.
The President noted that over the past two years, concrete steps have been taken to develop the regions, support initiatives of rural entrepreneurs, create new jobs, provide the population with clean drinking water and improve irrigation systems.
"Digital transformation that is undergoing in our country today, will allow us to create new platforms for interaction between the state, private sector and citizens. Therefore, the ambitious tasks we have set for ourselves in this direction should be fulfilled," President Jeenbekov said.
Speaking about priority issues in foreign policy, Jeenbekov noted the need to continue a mutually beneficial and effective dialogue with closest partners and countries of the far abroad.
Among the priorities are the events within the framework of the Cross Year of Kyrgyzstan in Russia and Russia in Kyrgyzstan, as well as the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
