Bishkek, Sept. 6, 2019. / Kabar /. President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov met with Usenbek Niyazbekov’s mother Oktam Mamaeva, his wife Nazira Bazarbayeva, his brother Asanbek Niyazbekov, and his son Timur Niyazbekov, the president’s press service reported.
The head of state expressed his condolences to the family of the employee of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic, Colonel Niyazbekov, who died during the special operation on detention of former President Almazbek Atambayev on Aug. 7, 2019 and noted that Usenbek devoted his whole life to serving the homeland, ensuring the safety of citizens and the rule of law in the country. He successfully participated in a number of special operations to eliminate terrorist groups, and was awarded various departmental awards by the national security agencies.
Sooronbay Jeenbekov emphasized that the death of Usenbek Niyazbekov is a great loss not only for his family and loved ones, but also for the state.
President handed Erdik medal to Niyazbekov’s family.
The decree of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic on rewarding Usenbek Niyazbekov with the Erdik medal (posthumous) was signed on the eve of Independence Day of the Kyrgyz Republic, on Aug. 27, 2019 for personal courage shown in the performance of military duty.
