Bishkek, Oct.28, 2019. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov received today, Oct.28 Chairman of the Accounts Chamber of the Kyrgyz Republic Ulukbek Maripov.
Information on the results of audit activities for 9 months of 2019, the work on the restoration of public funds based on the results of audits was heard, measures to improve the national audit system were discussed, the President’s press service said.
In order to ensure effective implementation of national and state programmes, the President noted the need for a gradual transition to focused audits, moving away from the practice of audits tied to a specific facility.
The sides also stressed the importance of strengthening control over the efficiency of spending of funds, allocated to the social sphere, especially in the area of health care.
Maripov noted in order to increase the transparency of the activity, active work is being carried out to introduce modern digital technologies of public audit, including the automation of the Accounts Chamber's operational activities, digital technologies for analytical activities, development of remote audit methods, introduction of feedback mechanisms from the public on the basis of digital infrastructure.
The chairman said the work on transition to international standards of auditing is underway.
He added close work is being done with law enforcement agencies to significantly reduce the number of unjustified inspections of budget organizations and local authorities in the regions of the country. As a result, unjustified inspections have been significantly reduced.
