President Jeenbekov receives chairman of Security Committee Kadyrkulov

Bishkek, Jan. 22, 2019. / Kabar /. Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov received today Idris Kadyrkulov, the Chairman of the State Committee for National Security of the country.

The Kyrgyz President’s press service reported that, the results of work of the State Committee for National Security over the past year, measures taken to fulfill the assigned tasks as part of the implementation of decisions of the Security Council of the Kyrgyz Republic of February 8, 2018 and December 14, 2018 were discussed.

The Chairman of the National Security Committee presented information on the activities of the committee to ensure the security of citizens of Kyrgyzstan, on measures to combat internal and external threats, international terrorism and religious extremism.

The head of state noted that within the framework of measures to develop digitalization in the country, the State Committee for National Security together with the relevant authorities should work on ensuring cybersecurity and reliable protection of the information infrastructure of the Kyrgyz Republic.

In addition, it is necessary to continue active work in the fight against corruption and the identification of facts of malfeasance involving the embezzlement of state and municipal property.
