President Jeenbekov receives Chinese Ambassador Xiao Qinghua as his diplomatic mission completes

Bishkek, Feb. 12, 2019. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov received Tuesday Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Kyrgyzstan Xiao Qinghua on the occasion of the completion of his diplomatic mission in the country.

Jeenbekov noted that the Kyrgyz side attaches great importance to the cooperation and comprehensive strategic partnership, the press service of the Kyrgyz President’s Office reported.

“We value our friendship with Mr. Xi Jinping, as well as friendship between the peoples of our countries. 2019 will be full of Kyrgyz-Chinese relations. We are planning to hold a number of events, and the most important of them are the return state visit of President of the PRC (China) Xi Jinping to Kyrgyzstan and the Summit of SCO member states under the chairmanship of the Kyrgyz Republic,” Jeenbekov said.

He expressed confidence that the expected visit of the Chinese leader to Kyrgyzstan and the SCO Summit will be held at the highest level and will give new impetus to the bilateral and multilateral relations.

Ambassador Xiao Qinghua noted that during his diplomatic mission, he fell in love with Kyrgyzstan, its people and customs, and also conveyed best wishes from President of the PRC Xi Jinping.

“In 2018, you paid a successful state visit to China. The heads of the two states gave a clear direction to the development of the cooperation between our countries. You always pay great attention to China, express words of support. China will remain a friend and long-term partner of Kyrgyzstan, increasing its potential for sustainable development,” Xiao Qinghua said.

Jeenbekov and Xiao Qinghua also exchanged views on the issues of deepening and expanding political, trade and economic, interregional, cultural and humanitarian cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and China.
