Bishkek, Nov. 11, 2019. / Kabar /. President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov received today Executive Director of the Project Block of the Eurasian Fund for Stabilization and Development (EFSD) Andrey Shirokov, who arrived in Kyrgyzstan to participate in the High-Level Development Forum “Accelerating Reforms for Sustainable Development”.
An exchange of views took place on the implementation of joint socio-economic projects in the country, the Kyrgyz president’s press service reported.
The head of state noted with satisfaction the successful cooperation.
He emphasized that the Kyrgyz side is interested in identifying new priority areas for cooperation.
Andrey Shirokov, Executive Director of the EFSD project block, congratulated the Head of State on the successful holding of the High-Level Forum “Accelerating Reforms for Sustainable Development”. He expressed the wish that all initiatives voiced and discussed at the Forum be implemented and put into practice.
He noted that the EFSD supports the implementation of projects to modernize irrigation networks and increase the availability of clean drinking water in the settlements of the republic.
He also pays special attention to health care projects, in particular to improve the primary care system.
The sides also discussed the prospects of cooperation on the implementation of projects for the construction and rehabilitation of roads, hydropower projects, the possibility of grants for the implementation of projects in social spheres.
