Bishkek, Feb.4, 2020. /Kabar/. Yesterday, Feb.3 President Sooronbay Jeenbekov received Director of the National Institute for Strategic Studies (NISS) of the Kyrgyz Republic Emilbek Kaptagayev.
The President’s press service said the sides discussed measures to improve the effectiveness of the NISS’ activities, and its role in the development of strategic recommendations for government decision-making.
Director Kaptagayev presented information on current activities on the development of proposals and participation in the drafting of strategic development programs, strengthening the research capacity of the Institute, conducting various research and analytical works.
He also spoke about the priorities facing the NISS in the near future.
The President noted the special role of the Institute in the elaboration of the most important strategic documents of the country.
Sooronbay Jeenbekov stressed the need to strengthen analytical activities to develop effective proposals for the implementation of projects in the spheres of social and economic, socio-political development, public administration and security.
In addition, the Kyrgyz leader pointed out the importance of increasing the efficiency of the Institute’s work in terms of research and analytical support to the activity of the country’s state bodies.
The National Institute for Strategic Studies provides scientific, analytical, information and training support to the activities of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic in the field of economy, politics, security and public administration.
NISS is the only such institution under the supreme authorities of the republic, and operates under the direct leadership of prime minister of the country.
