Bishkek, May 13, 2020 / Kabar/. President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov received today Prosecutor General of the country Otkurbek Dzhamshitov.
The current activities and priorities for the near future facing the prosecution authorities were discussed, the President’s press service reported.
Dzhamshitov presented a report on the work of prosecution authorities, information on anti-corruption measures, and control of execution of laws by state bodies, local authorities and law enforcement agencies.
He also spoke about the implementation of the decisions of the Security Council and the Judicial Reform Council.
The president noted the need for rigorous provision by the prosecution authorities of the rule of law and strengthening the rule of law in the country. He drew particular attention to strengthening measures to combat corruption in state authorities and law enforcement agencies.
Sooronbay Jeenbekov also emphasized the need to strengthen measures to digitalize the activities of prosecution authorities and to continue work on the implementation of judicial reform, despite temporary inconvenience associated with the spread of coronavirus infection in the country.
