Bishkek, July 29, 2019. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan President Sooronbay Jeenbekov signed the Law “On Public-Private Partnership,” his press service reported.
The Parliament adopted the Law on June 19, 2019.
The purpose of the Law is to improve the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic on public-private partnership, taking into account the law enforcement practice, simplify procedures and reduce the terms in the process of preparation of public-private partnership projects (hereinafter - PPP).
The Law comes into force after 3 months from the date of official publication.
From the date of entry into force of the new Law:
— The current Law of the Kyrgyz Republic “On Public-Private Partnership in the Kyrgyz Republic”, dated Feb.22, 2012 will cease to be in force;
— Implementation of a PPP project that is in the preparation or tender stage may be at the choice of the public partner in accordance with the procedures, established by the new Law.
