Bishkek, July 23, 2020. /Kabar/. "Inpatient centers are indispensable, they have shown their effectiveness in a short time, significantly reducing the burden on medical facilities. But we will also begin building integrated hospitals in all regions," President Sooronbay Jeenbekov said Thursday during a visit to a day time inpatient center for COVID-19 patients in Talas town.
According to Talas Oblast Governor Marat Murataliyev, the day hospital is designed for 100 beds, since its opening more than a thousand people have applied for assistance, the press service of the Kyrgyz President reported.
In a conversation with medical personnel, President Jeenbekov noted local authorities will take all measures on delivery of necessary medicines and medical products to regions. He stressed the need for full and timely supply of the hospital with medicines and medical products.
The Kyrgyz leader once again expressed gratitude to medical workers who have become the main driving force in the fight against coronavirus infection.
He praised the discipline and responsibility of Talas Oblast residents, which made it possible to curb the spread of coronavirus infection in the region for a long time.
Further, Jeenbekov toured an abandoned building of the Family Medicine Centre in Kok-Oi village, Talas region.
The building, which has a capacity of 160 beds, has been idle since 2005. After the reconstruction, it will be possible to increase the number of beds up to 300.
The head of state urged local authorities and the State Agency for Architecture, Construction and Housing and Communal Services of the country to carry out accelerated work on the reconstruction of the building.
In all regions the work will be started both on construction of integrated hospitals and on modernization of existing buildings in preparation for autumn-winter period.
