Bishkek, May 7. 2019. / Kabar /. President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov visited on Tuesday the Kyrgyz National Academic Drama Theater named after Abdumomunov and State National Russian Drama Theater named after Aitmatov.
Theatre executives and Minister of Culture, Information and Tourism Azamat Jamankulov told the president about the creative plans and the state of the theaters, the press service of the Kyrgyz President reported.
The head of state witnessed the rehearsal of the creative team. Asylbek Ozubekov, the Director of the Kyrgyz National Academic Drama Theater said that the theater stages up to six premieres every year, an average of 2 million soms is allocated from its own funds per play.
Having examined the buildings of the two theaters, the head of state noted the need for the earliest possible resolution of the issue of financing the overhaul of buildings and reconstruction. He wished success to the creative teams that do not have normal working conditions, but continue to work and promised to assist in solving the issue of financing.
