Bishkek, May 8, 2020. /Kabar/. President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov congratulated citizens on the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
According to the President’s press service, the congratulatory message says:
"Dear veterans of the Great Patriotic War!
Dear workers of the home front!
Dear compatriots!
I heartily congratulate you on the Victory Day of the Great Patriotic War!
Victory Day is a date that gives each of us an extraordinary feeling of pride for our history, for the country and its courageous people. It is a day of great joy mixed with deep sorrow for the fallen heroes.
At the expense of 27 million lives of Soviet people, this Victory was forged. Together with other peoples of the USSR, our Kyrgyz people joined the ranks of defenders of the Fatherland. Today, as we celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people, we bow our heads to the memory of those who died on the battlefields.
The mass heroism of the Soviet people, their unity and devotion to their homeland became the main factor in the victory over fascism.
Kyrgyzstan made its worthy contribution to the Victory.
365 thousand Kyrgyzstanis fought on the battlefields of the Great Patriotic War, 90 thousand of them heroically died, over 150 thousand received awards for their heroism.
Many of our compatriots were awarded the Order of Glory, and 22 of them became full cavaliers of this order. For personal courage and bravery, 73 Kyrgyz citizens were awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union.
During the war, half a million citizens of the Soviet Union were evacuated to our republic. For many of them, Kyrgyzstan became a second home.
Today, we express our sincere gratitude to our veterans for their feat.
Unfortunately, every year the ranks of our dear veterans, those who know the real price of the Victory, are thinning.
Dear veterans and workers of the home front, with a deep gratitude we send you our congratulations on the Victory Day.
Dear compatriots!
Currently, we are facing the threat of coronavirus infection on the one hand, and the negative impact on the economy on the other. In order to preserve public health and prevent the spread of infection, we have introduced emergency and state of emergency regimes. State bodies, local authorities, our doctors, police and military personnel are on guard day and night to protect the health of the Kyrgyz people.
All the people were sympathetic to the situation, and patiently, with a sense of great responsibility followed all the rules of restrictive measures. With a view economic recovery, measures are now being taken to gradually grant permission for certain areas of entrepreneurship. Some business objects have already begun their work.
Our main concern is the health and lives of our citizens. Therefore, emergency regime will be preserved throughout the country, the terms of which will be further extended. The state is responsible for the preservation of public health.
Dear compatriots!
A low bow and bright memory to the fallen heroes, as well as to those veterans who returned from the front and passed away in peacetime.
Dear war veterans! Dear workers of the home front!
It is the sacred duty of every Kyrgyz citizen to honor and protect our glorious war veterans and workers of the home front, never forgetting their invaluable contribution to the Great Victory.
Once again I congratulate you on the Great Victory Day! I wish each of you good health, long live. Be always with us!
May peace always reign on the fertile land of Kyrgyzstan, and may there be unity and harmony among the people.
