Bishkek, Dec.25, 2019. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov held on Wednesday, Dec. 25 his second final press conference.

At the press conference on the results of the year, the Kyrgyz President spoke about the main directions of his presidency, the state policy of regional development, digitalization of the country, and Kyrgyzstan's foreign policy.

He particularly focused on the issues of expanding irrigation networks, implementing projects to provide clean water to the population, energy, transport and communications, improving the investment climate, increasing the export potential of the country, the implementation of judicial and legal reform, fighting corruption, and others.

At the press conference, which lasted more than three hours, 29 journalists were able to ask more than 50 questions.

The issues related to the current directions of the country's foreign policy, the upcoming parliamentary elections, journalistic investigations of media resources, reforming the education system, personnel policy, administrative and territorial reform, environmental situation in the capital, protection of women's rights, national ideology, integration within the framework of the EAEU, freedom of speech, protection of migrants' rights, the situation in the mining sector, strategy of water resources use, etc.

In addition, journalists were interested in the opinion of the President on the principles of green economy, implementation of major transport projects, voiced questions regarding the social and political situation in the country.

The press conference was broadcast live on the Public Broadcasting Corporation of the Kyrgyz Republic and Ala-Too 24 TV channels, and was also available on YouTube and Facebook pages on those channels.

Note that 188 journalists were accredited for the press conference. Of these, 160 journalists were from 77 national media and 28 journalists - from 15 foreign media.
