Bishkek, Oct.24, 2019. /Kabar/. On Oct. 21-23 Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov paid working visit to Japan.
The President took part in the ceremony of declaring the enthronement of Emperor of Japan Naruhito, his press service reported.
The event, which took place at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo, was attended by heads of state, various public figures and representatives of the diplomatic corps from 195 countries.
As part of the visit, President Jeenbekov met with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzō Abe, they discussed the prospects for Kyrgyz-Japanese bilateral cooperation.
The Kyrgyz leader also met with Japanese parliamentarians and exchanged views on topical issues of bilateral cooperation, including inter-parliamentary cooperation.
Besides, Jeenbekov visited the head office of Tokyo Rope MFG Corporation, the Toshiba Energy Systems and Solutions plant, and held a meeting with the management of the Rotobo Japanese Business Association in Tokyo.
The sides discussed the prospects of investment cooperation, measures to expand contacts between the business circles of the two countries.
As part of his working visit, Sooronbay Jeenbekov met with compatriots living in Japan.
Today, Oct.24, Sooronbay Jeenbekov has returned to Kyrgyzstan.
