Bishkek, July 25, 2020. /Kabar/. "Inpatient centers are coping with work, people come and get appropriate treatment. We are glad that the number of patients appealing to hospitals has started to decrease. Predictions are now being made about a possible second wave of the pandemic. Therefore, we must be prepared for autumn and winter. Appropriate work is already underway," Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov said Saturday at a capsule-laying event to build an additional 100-bed infectious disease hospital in Bishkek.
According to Director of the State Agency for Architecture, Construction and Housing and Communal Services Urmatbek Kokocharov, the construction of the hospital will be carried out from quick-construction structures on the territory of the Republican Clinical Infectious Disease Hospital, the press service of the Kyrgyz President reported.
Currently, preparatory work has begun on the site, construction is planned to be completed as soon as possible. A similar hospital is planned to be built in the city of Osh.
In his conversation with the hospital’s medical personnel, President Jeenbekov noted the positive role of hospitals in combating the spread of coronavirus infection, but stressed the need to build new ones.
He emphasized that with the attraction of investors within the public-private partnership, integrated hospitals will be built in Bishkek, Osh and in all regions of the country.
"We will build multi-profile hospitals where our citizens will be able to receive modern medical services in one place. There are investors who show interest in cooperation on the principle of public-private partnership," the Kyrgyz President concluded.
