President makes 25 foreign visits in 2024

Bishkek, Dec. 30, 2024. / Kabar /. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov made 25 important visits to other countries in 2024, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the country Jeenbek Kulubaev told at a press conference on the results of the year.

He said that of these, two visits had state status and were made to Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.

The head of state also made five official visits to countries such as Korea, Italy, Kazakhstan, Germany and Austria. The rest of the visits were working visits.

"During the state visit of the president to Azerbaijan, a joint declaration on deepening strategic partnership and a five-year cooperation program between the governments of the two countries and a number of other documents were signed. The authorized capital of the Azerbaijan-Kyrgyzstan Development Fund was increased to 100 million dollars. Also, as part of the state visit of Sadyr Zhaparov to Uzbekistan, a Joint Statement on further deepening and expanding relations of comprehensive strategic partnership was signed. Documents worth a total of 206 million dollars were signed," the minister said.

He noted that a number of important documents were also signed during the official and working visits, which are of mutually beneficial economic and political interest.
