President meets with relatives of victims of June 2010 events

Bishkek, June 10, 2020. /Kabar/. Today, June 10 Kyrgyzstan's President Sooronbay Jeenbekov met in Osh city with relatives of those killed in June 2010 events and representatives of public organizations, his press service reported.

The meeting with the President's was attended by representatives of public organizations created subsequently after the tragic events.

Sooronbay Jeenbekov once again expressed condolences to them, noting that the loss of relatives and friends is an irreplaceable loss which is hard to bear even after many years.

The meeting participants touched upon the current social and political situation, strengthening of interethnic harmony in the country, expressed satisfaction with the activity of Osh mayor and Osh Oblast governor. They also voiced personal questions, to which they received answers.

The women expressed gratitude to Jeenbekov for his personal attention and warm conversation, wished him success in his work aimed at developing the country.

On the same day, Jeenbekov met with Gulgaky Mamasaliyeva, head of the Interbilim Public Foundation in Osh.

The sides exchanged views on the implementation of judicial and legal reform, digital transformation on the ground, issues of illegal construction, particularly in the territory of the Sulaiman-Too complex.

Gulgaky Mamasaliyeva also drew attention to the protection of the rights of those whose homes have been demolished. She expressed the view that the advancement of reforms in the country should be under the personal control of the Kyrgyz President.

Sooronbay Jeenbekov stressed that the implementation of judicial and legal reforms, projects to digitalize the country, provide clean water to the population, irrigation has become irreversible and is under his personal control.

President Jeenbekov is in Osh Oblast for his two-day working trip. Today, June 10 he honored the memory of those who died during the June 2010 tragic events and laid flowers at the Tears of Mothers memorial complex.

The Kyrgyz President also visited the first machine-building plant in Kyrgyzstan.
