Bishkek, May 8 / Kabar /. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev congratulated President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev and the people of the country on the 72nd anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, the Kyrgyz President’s press service reported.
"Our peoples, who fought shoulder to shoulder against fascism during the most destructive war in the history of mankind, displayed unprecedented heroism, courage and selflessness, both on the fronts and in the rear.
I am sure that the good traditions of friendship, mutual support and mutual understanding between our peoples, which have passed a truly severe test in those difficult war years will continue to serve as a solid basis for further development and strengthening of all-round cooperation and multifaceted cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Kyrgyz Republic," the congratulation message said.
Aliyev wished Atambayev, veterans of the war and the workers of the rear, all the brotherly people of Kyrgyzstan peace, prosperity and success.
