President of France lands in Mongolia for state visit

President of the French Republic Emmanuel Macron has arrived in Mongolia for a State Visit at the invitation of President of Mongolia Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh.

When President Emmanuel Macron landed at Chinggis Khaan International Airport, Minister of Foreign Affairs B. Battsetseg, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to Mongolia Sebastien Surun and other officials welcomed him, Montsame reported.

It is the first visit of the Head of State of France, marking a milestone in the history of the relations between the two countries. France is the sixth western country, which established diplomatic relations with Mongolia, and the second western country that opened its Embassy in Ulaanbaatar.
