Bishkek, Feb. 19, 2024. /Kabar/. Kamchybek Tashiev - the chairman of the State Committe for National Security was elected President of the Kyrgyz Football Union, the press service of the organization reported.
An extraordinary congress on this occasion took place today in Bishkek. At the same time, the resignation of Mederbek Sydykov from the post of head of the KFU and the composition of the executive committee of the KFU was accepted.
Kamchybek Tashiev was the only registered candidate for this post.
The elections were held in strict accordance with the Charter of the Kyrgyz Football Union. All congress delegates voted unanimously for the new head of the KFU, and they also unanimously elected the new composition of the KFU executive committee.
