Presidents of Kyrgyzstan and Belarus exchange greetings over 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations

Bishkek, Jan. 22, 2018. / Kabar /. Presidents of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov and Belarus Alexander Lukashenko exchanged congratulatory messages on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the countries, the Kyrgyz President's press service reported.

"Relations between our countries are based on good traditions of friendship and historical community. The peoples of Kyrgyzstan and Belarus together stood in the years of severe military trials, shared the joy of victory.

It is gratifying that for a quarter of a century of a new format of cooperation we have been able to steadily strengthen and expand close bilateral cooperation in the political, trade-economic, cultural, humanitarian and other spheres, which fully meets the interests of the two states.

We are also successfully developing our cooperation in the format of regional integration associations, including within the framework of the CIS, the EEU and the CSTO," Jeenbekov said in his message.

The Kyrgyz leader expressed his confidence that in the near future by joint efforts the Kyrgyz-Belarusian relations will be brought to a qualitatively new level of development.

Jeenbekov wished Lukashenko good health, prosperity and great success in state activities, and peace and prosperity for the friendly Belarusian people.

President Lukashenko in his congratulatory telegram noted that for a quarter of a century Kyrgyzstan and Belarus managed to build a harmonious system of interaction based on the principles of friendship, partnership and respect.

"Belarus and Kyrgyzstan consistently develop constructive cooperation in the political, economic and humanitarian spheres, deepen the integration ties within the framework of the EEU, effectively solve the tasks of maintaining stability and security. I reaffirm my commitment to further strengthening the open dialogue with a view to fully expanding the Belarusian-Kyrgyz relations," says in the message of the Belarusian president.

Lukashenko wished Jeenbekov good health and success in state activities, and peace and prosperity for the friendly people of Kyrgyzstan.
