President of Kyrgyzstan dissolves some local councils and appoints early elections

Bishkek, April 14 / Kabar /. Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev signed a decree on the dissolution of several local councils and the appointment of early elections, the President’s press service reported.

By the decree President Atambayev dissolved several local councils in Batken, Jalal-Abad, Issyk-Kul, Naryn, Osh, Talas and Chui oblasts.

The early elections are set for Sunday, May 28, 2017.

The Central Commission for Elections of the Kyrgyz Republic is instructed to organize early elections to the above-mentioned representative body of local self-government in accordance with the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic.
