Bishkek, Feb. 13, 2024. /Kabar/. President Sadyr Zhaparov held talks with Minister of Energy and Infrastructure of the United Arab Emirates Suhail Al Mazrouei on the sidelines of the World Government Summit in Dubai.
According to the press service of the head of state, during the meeting issues of further expanding bilateral cooperation, strengthening diplomatic, trade and economic ties, and implementing joint infrastructure and energy projects were discussed.
Regarding the implementation of previously reached agreements, the president said that he attaches great importance to the construction of a solar power plant by Masdar and emphasized that Kyrgyzstan will timely fulfill its obligations within the framework of this project.
Sadyr Zhaparov also recalled that he invited the President of the UAE, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to visit Kyrgyzstan on an official visit. He expressed confidence that this visit will give impetus to further strengthening relations between the countries.
In turn, UAE Minister of Energy and Infrastructure Suhail Al Mazrui thanked Sadyr Zhaparov for accepting the invitation to participate in the World Government Summit and conveyed greetings on behalf of the President of the UAE Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum , also Vice President Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan. He was pleased to announce that the parties are currently considering a number of important documents within the framework of cooperation between the two countries, which are planned to be submitted for signing during the expected visit of the UAE President to Kyrgyzstan.
In addition, he noted that it is planned to open the UAE Embassy in Bishkek in the near future. Minister of Energy and Infrastructure Suhail Al Mazrui also added that this year a UAE trade mission will visit Kyrgyzstan, which will include representatives of large Emirati companies to strengthen trade and economic ties.
