President of Kyrgyzstan meets with FM of Palestine

Bishkek, Aug. 28, 2023. /Kabar/. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov received on August 27 Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the State of Palestine, Riyad Al-Maliki, who arrived in the country for an official visit.

An exchange of views took place on the prospects for the further development of Kyrgyz-Palestinian relations in all spectrums of bilateral cooperation.

The head of state noted that Kyrgyzstan is interested in developing friendly relations with the fraternal Palestine and strengthening cooperation in various mutually beneficial areas. The peoples of the two countries are united by ties of friendship, the similarity of religious, historical and spiritual values.

Sadyr Zhaparov expressed confidence that during the minister's visit to Kyrgyzstan, the two countries would be able to conclude important agreements and discuss further prospects for cooperation. Kyrgyzstan is always ready to resume high-level dialogue with the State of Palestine, he said.

In turn, Riyad Al-Maliki thanked Sadyr Zhaparov for the opportunity to meet in person and conveyed greetings from President Mahmoud Abbas.

Taking the opportunity, the minister congratulated Sadyr Zhaparov and the people of Kyrgyzstan on the upcoming Independence Day. He noted that Palestine is interested in developing bilateral ties and maintaining a political dialogue between the two countries, in establishing cooperation in all areas of mutually beneficial cooperation.

Speaking about the stable development of the Kyrgyz-Palestinian relations, Riyad Al-Maliki expressed a desire to increase the pace of partnerships, given the huge potential in bilateral relations between Kyrgyzstan and Palestine.

In order to develop bilateral relations, the minister proposed to create an Intergovernmental Commission between the two states, to intensify cooperation and exchange of experience between experts of the two countries in such areas as trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian, agriculture, medicine and education.

The parties expressed their readiness to bring the entire range of bilateral cooperation and interaction to a new level for the benefit of the friendly peoples of Kyrgyzstan and Palestine.
