Bishkek, Jan. 28, 2021 / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan will adhere to a multi-vector foreign policy, President Sadyr Zhaparov, who took office today, said this at the inauguration ceremony.
He said that the continuous economic development of the country, its cultural revival, stability are possible only if good-neighborly and friendly relations with neighboring and distant countries are maintained.
“We express our deep gratitude to all those countries, especially Russia, which, expressing special concern about the events in Kyrgyzstan, provided us with all possible assistance on difficult days. I also sincerely want to express my gratitude to our neighbors - Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, for the assistance provided during the pandemic. We have a common destiny and history,” he said.
Zhaparov noted that enhancing cooperation, strengthening economic and cultural ties with strategic partners is a priority of the foreign policy. “This applies to the countries of Central Asia, and I would also like to highlight Turkey,” he said
“We believe that China, as our neighbor and partner, whose role is growing every day in world politics and economy, in Central Asia, including Kyrgyzstan, will continue its mutually beneficial economic relations. We must deepen good-neighborly relations every year and achieve great results in areas of mutual interest. We will adhere to a multi-vector foreign policy,” the president said.
Sovereign Kyrgyzstan, as Sadyr Zhaparov noted, will strive for cooperation with America, the countries of Europe and Asia. He also assured that the Kyrgyz Republic will fulfill international obligations within the framework of the United Nations, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, the Eurasian Economic Union, the Council of Turkic-speaking States, as well as other international organizations.
