President of Kyrgyzstan's Wrestling Federation elected

Bishkek, Dec. 3, 2021 . / Kabar / . An extraordinary conference of the Wrestling Federation of Kyrgyzstan was held on Friday in Bishkek.

The Federation's press service reported that by unanimous decision of the Bureau of the Wrestling Federation, Melis Turganbaev has been elected the President of the Federation for the Olympic cycle until 2024 inclusive.

Earlier, Turganbaev served as Vice-President of the Wrestling Federation of Kyrgyzstan for freestyle wrestling since 2012.

From 2021 to the present he is a member of the Executive Committee of the Asian Wrestling Council "UWW-Asia", curator of UWW-Asia for Central Asia.

In addition, Almaz Bekboyev has been elected the Vice-President of the Wrestling Fred for freestyle wrestling for the Olympic cycle until 2024 inclusive.
