President of Mongolia plans to visit Kyrgyzstan in 2025

Bishkek, April 25, 2024 / Kabar/. Speaker of the Kyrgyz Parliament met with President of Mongolia Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh as part of his official visit to this country.

According to the press service of the parliament, issues of increasing political, economic, cultural and humanitarian ties between the two countries were discussed, and proposals were made to strengthen bilateral relations.

Shakiev noted the dynamic development of Kyrgyz-Mongolian relations in recent years.

The speaker also touched upon the issues of studying the common cultural heritage of two peoples with deep historical roots. Thus, as part of the official visit, a photo exhibition “Heritage of Nomadic Civilization” and a conference “Historical Connections of the Kyrgyz People with Genghis Khan and His Descendants” were organized at the National Historical Museum of Genghis Khan, located in Ulaanbaatar.

In turn, President of Mongolia Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh expressed confidence that this official visit will give additional impetus to the development of relations, emphasizing the important role of parliamentary diplomacy in deepening Kyrgyz-Mongolian interaction. At the same time, the leader supported each proposal, focusing on the importance of implementing joint projects in all areas.

“We have a lot of plans ahead. Cooperation with Kyrgyzstan is one of the priority areas of Mongolia’s foreign policy. We are interested in close cooperation in both bilateral and multilateral formats, the implementation of important projects, including the opening of regular direct flights,” said Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh.

At the end of his speech, he conveyed his greetings to President of the Kyrgyz Republic and shared his plans to visit Kyrgyzstan next year.
