Bishkek, May 27, 2021 . / Kabar / . Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov who is on a working visit to Ashkhabad at the head of delegation of his country, has been received today by President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, ORIENT reported.
At the meeting with the head of the state an exchange of opinions on practical advancement of the agreements reached at the top-level, ways of the fullest involvement of potential of cooperation in trade, investment, industrial cooperation, first of all in transport, energy, mechanical engineering, light and food-processing industry, agricultural and water management took place, as the website of the Uzbek Ministry of Foreign Affairs informs.
The Turkmen Ministry of Foreign Affairs also informed that the ceremony of signing of bilateral documents, namely Agreement between the Government of Turkmenistan and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on a Joint Turkmen-Uzbek intergovernmental commission on water management issues and an Additional agreement to the Agreement between the Government of Turkmenistan and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on a paid land use took place.
Signatures under documents were put by Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov.
Further in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan the meeting of Turkmen and Uzbek delegations led by Ministers of Foreign Affairs took place. The parties discussed the current state and prospects of development of bilateral relations in political-diplomatic, trade and economic and cultural-humanitarian areas.
Diplomats confirmed the similarity of positions in maintaining security, stability and socio-economic growth in the region and beyond.
