Bishkek, July 22, 2022. /Kabar/. President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay a state visit to Kyrgyzstan. This became known during a meeting between Kyrgyz Ambassador to Uzbekistan Musa Dzhamanbaev and Сhairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Davron Vakhabov.
During the meeting, the sides discussed topical issues of trade and economic nature and exchanged views on promising areas, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported.
They also noted the need to intensify the relevant activities for the implementation of previously reached agreements at the level of heads of state in March 2021 and the creation of additional opportunities for entrepreneurs of the two countries and the expansion of joint production.
“In the context of further cooperation and in preparation for the upcoming state visit of Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Kyrgyzstan, Ambassador Dzhamanbaev suggested holding a Business Forum in the Kyrgyz Republic," the report said.
Along with this, the Kyrgyz ambassador and the chairman of the Uzbek Chamber of Commerce and Industry noted the great potential of the Uzbek-Kyrgyz Development Fund, in particular, such areas of joint cooperation as the industrial sector, the pharmaceutical industry, construction, agriculture, livestock and fisheries development were identified.
In order to develop inter-regional cooperation, Musa Dzhamanbaev offered to arrange the participation of Uzbek entrepreneurs in the upcoming South-Expo, which is scheduled to be held on Sept. 15-17 in Osh.
Following the meeting, Vakhabov expressed the readiness of the Uzbek side to fully support initiatives aimed at developing business contacts between Kyrgyz and Uzbek entrepreneurs.
