Bishkek, Feb. 15, 2020./Kabar/. The visit of Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Russia is scheduled for the second half of June this year, First Deputy Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Ilhm Nematov said at a press conference.
He added the agreement on the time of the Uzbek leader's visit to Russia was reached during the visit of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov to Tashkent in January.
"In order to prepare thoroughly, we agreed to hold this visit in the second half of June", he added.
The agenda for the Uzbek president's visit to Russia includes regular regional and rector forums, a media forum and other business events.
A few days earlier, in the course of the phone conversation, the Uzbek and Russian leaders discussed the preparation of the visit's agenda, as well as considered the prospects for cooperation between the countries in the year of Uzbekistan's chairmanship in the Commonwealth of Independence States (CIS).
