President on Kambar-Ata-1 project: This is dream that is becoming reality

Bishkek, Dec. 20, 2024. / Kabar /. "The Kambar-Ata-1 HPP is a project that was talked about as a legend passed down from generation to generation, now it is becoming a reality," said President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov at the III People's Kurultai, which is being held in Bishkek.

"This dream is also becoming a reality. Our country is moving towards energy independence and self-sufficiency in the energy sector. For hundreds of years, water resources have been our main wealth, and in the future they will become the driving force for moving the country forward, developing the economy, providing energy and exporting electricity," said Japarov.
