President outlines further priorities for digitalization of country

Bishkek, June 22, 2020. /Kabar/. President Sooronbay Jeenbekov received Monday his adviser Dastan Dogoev and Chairman of the State Committee for Information Technologies and Communications (SCITC) Altynbek Ismailov, his press service said.

The President congratulated Dogoyev on entering Harvard University and wished him success in studies. He stressed with satisfaction Dogoyev’s active position in promoting the state policy on digitalization of the country.

Dogoyev, as an advisor to the Kyrgyz President on a voluntary basis, was entrusted with coordinating the implementation of state policy on digital transformation of the country, as well as to assist in the implementation of decisions of the Security Council and other priorities for digitalization.

In addition, he will lead the Digital Leaders Club which is being established at the initiative of the Kyrgyz President.

This Club is expected to bring together national, regional and international experts and develop concrete recommendations for further promotion of digitalization.

Jeenbekov stressed the need for continuity and continuation of teamwork in this direction, in this regard, he drew attention to the importance of assisting the newly appointed SCITC chairman.

The Kyrgyz leader wished Altynbek Ismailov success in his new position, recalling that the digitalization of the country is a priority direction of state policy in the coming years.

Altynbek Ismailov presented information on the implementation of ongoing projects and plans in the framework of the country's digitalization.

He noted that active implementation of the “State as a platform”, “Digital Region” projects is carried out, active work on connection of schools and local authorities in regions to broadband Internet continues.

At the same time, digital state and municipal services are being actively introduced, work is being done to improve digital skills of the population, business and state structures.

The SCITC chairman emphasized that one of the important directions will be digitalization of public services for business and construction of the Data Center.

He assured that implementation of all projects within the framework of digital transformation of the country will be completed in the previously established terms.
