President ratifies agreement on mutual establishment of cultural centers of Kyrgyzstan and China

Bishkek, Oct. 24, 2023 . / Kabar / . President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov signed the Law "On Ratification of the Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of the People's Republic of China on Mutual Establishment of Cultural Centers, signed in Xi'an on May 18, 2023".

The Law was adopted by the Jogorku Kenesh on Oct. 18, 2023.

The purpose of this Law is to fulfill domestic procedures for ratification of the said Agreement.

The agreement provides for the establishment of a Kyrgyz cultural center in China and a Chinese cultural center in Kyrgyzstan.

Interaction between national cultural centers in a multinational region will be the most effective tool for promoting national culture, since bilateral exchange through cultural centers has a number of peculiarities, which are primarily related to promoting one's own culture and creating a positive image of the country abroad.
