Bishkek, July 26, 2022. /Kabar/. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov received on Tuesday OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities Kairat Abdrakhmanov.
The sides exchanged views on topical issues of interethnic relations and cooperation within OSCE activities.
The Kyrgyz leader congratulated Kairat Abdrakhmanov on his election to a high and responsible international post in the OSCE system.
Sadyr Zhaparov noted that Kyrgyzstan pursues a policy of strengthening harmony and unity of the multinational people, including the formation of civil identity, development of the state language and preservation of multilingualism.
In addition, the system of state bodies is being improved for early response in order to prevent and prevent interethnic conflicts. In this regard, public advisory interethnic councils and public receptions on interethnic issues have been created and operate at the republican and local levels.
Besides, Zhaparov stressed with satisfaction the OSCE's assistance to the country on these issues and the attention paid by the High Commissioner to Kyrgyzstan.
In his turn, Kairat Abdrakhmanov, thanking for the warm welcome, presented information on the priorities of the OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities.
He noted that the Office of the OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities and the OSCE as a whole highly appreciates the contribution and support that the Kyrgyz Republic and personally President Sadyr Zhaparov are making to the activities of the Organization.
During the conversation, Kairat Abdrakhmanov praised the organization of the Fourth Consultative Meeting of Heads of State of Central Asia in Cholpon-Ata.
At the end of the meeting, the sides agreed to further develop cooperation in the field of inter-ethnic relations in the OSCE area of responsibility.
