Jeenbekov recommends that HQ strengthen its efforts to predict further development of situation

Bishkek, July 6, 2020. /Kabar/. Further priorities in the fight against coronavirus infection were considered at a meeting of Kyrgyzstan’s Security Council, held Monday with the participation of President Sooronbay Jeenbekov and heads of state bodies, governors, mayors and heads of regions.

According to the press service of the Kyrgyz President, the meeting was held in the format of a video conference.

President Jeenbekov noted that today the whole world is experiencing a difficult situation, and each country is fighting this disease in accordance with its financial capacity and the potential of the health care system.

At the same time, he criticized the work of the Government and the country's Health Ministry for the lack of analysis and forecasting of further developments in the situation.

The Kyrgyz leader stressed the need to strengthen work in this direction to clearly define the demand of the population.

He criticized the Government of Kyrgyzstan for allowing panic among the population in recent days, for the lack of primary medical care and preventive measures.

"You did not work ahead of schedule to replenish the personnel reserve and started mobilization of specialists only after the crisis," Jeenbekov noted.

The President also stressed the need to strengthen the coordination of volunteers and touched upon the issue of providing medical professionals with food.

Concerning issues of health care system digitalization as a whole, Sooronbay Jeenbekov called on the Health Ministry together with the State Committee for Information Technologies and Communication to accelerate the introduction of a digital map of hospitals in Bishkek for rapid hospitalization of patients, synchronization of all call centers using the capabilities of mobile operators.

In addition, he stressed that the introduction of a state of emergency throughout the country is not yet considered, but recalled that sanitary-epidemiological and quarantine restrictions, imposed by local leaders are mandatory for all citizens and economic entities.
