Bishkek, Nov. 28, 2021. / Kabar /. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov, together with his spouse Aigul Zhaparova, voted in the parliamentary elections on Sunday.
The head of state fulfilled his civic duty at one of the polling stations in Bishkek.
In conclusion of his voting, the head of state called on fellow citizens to be active in the elections and defend their civic position. “The future of the country depends on this,” the president said.
The parliamentary elections are being held in Kyrgyzstan by using a mixed electoral system. 54 deputies are to be elected according to the proportional system in single electoral constituencies, while 36 deputies are to be elected from single-mandate constituencies on a majority basis.
Earlier the parliament of Kyrgyzstan consisted of 120 deputies elected for a five-year term according to party lists.
