President Zhaparov to take part in 8th CCTS Summit in Istanbul

Bishkek, Nov. 10, 2021 . / Kabar / . On Nov. 11-12, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov will pay a working visit to Istanbul, Turkey.

The Kyrgyz president is expected to take part in the 8th meeting of the Summit of Heads of Turkic Speaking States of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking States (CCTS) on "Green Technologies and Smart Cities in Digitalization”, his press service said.

Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Kyrgyz President’s Office Zheebek Kulubaev noted that within the framework of the upcoming meeting, it is planned to sign a decision on renaming the Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking States into the Organization of Turkic States, to adopt a strategic document "Vision of Turkic World - 2040", which represents a kind of road map for enhancing cooperation between Turkic speaking states for the next two decades in priority areas, and other documents related to the activities of the Organization.

In addition, the adoption of the strategic document "Vision of the Turkic World-2040" initiated by First President of Kazakhstan, Honorary Chairman of the CCTS Nursultan Nazarbayev within the framework of the 7th Summit of the Organization on Oct. 15, 2019 in Baku is planned.

The Kyrgyz president is expected to hold meetings with leaders of Turkey, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan and Hungary, where they will discuss the expansion of bilateral cooperation.
