President Sadyr Zhaparov's official visit to Turkey completed

Bishkek, June 12, 2021 . / Kabar / . An official visit of Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov to Turkey completed.

On the first day of the visit, the Kyrgyz leader visited the Anitkabir memorial complex in Ankara and laid a wreath at the tomb of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the founder of the Turkish Republic.

Further, Sadyr Zhparov and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held bilateral talks in a tête-à-tête format and within the framework of the 5th meeting of the Supreme Council of Strategic Cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Turkey.

The two leaders discussed the current state and prospects of Kyrgyz-Turkish bilateral and multilateral cooperation and current issues of interaction in the trade, economic, military-technical, cultural and humanitarian spheres.

Following the talks, a number of bilateral documents aimed at deepening joint cooperation were signed.

The presidents of the two countries also jointly opened a photo exhibition dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Kyrgyzstan's independence, and took part in the closing ceremony of the IV International Issyk-Kul Forum named after Chyngyz Aitmatov.

The second day of the official visit of Sadyr Zhaparov began with a visit to the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), where he was awarded the title of "Honorary Professor" of the TOBB University of Economics and Technology.

Here, the president of Kyrgyzstan delivered a speech to representatives of major Turkish businesses, who were shown the investment opportunities and investment attractiveness of Kyrgyzstan.

Zhaparov expressed full readiness to support the initiatives of bona fide investors and provide them with maximum assistance.

He also held a meeting with Chairman of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Mustafa Shentop and met with Kyrgyzstanis living in different cities of Turkey.

On June 11, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov has returned to Bishkek.
