Bishkek, Dec. 6, 2021 . / Kabar /. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov signed on Monday a Decree "On measures to support low-income citizens (families) in the form of reduced payment for electricity”, his press service said.
Earlier, at the meeting of Kyrgyzstan’s Security Council on Nov. 26 this year, the head of state instructed to work out a mechanism of reducing electricity tariffs for these people.
The purpose and objective of this Decree is targeted social support for needy citizens (families) with children under the age of 16 in the conditions of rising prices for socially important goods.
Under the Decree, the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan should:
- determine from Jan. 1, 2022, the electricity tariff for needy citizens (families) with children under the age of 16 who receive the state allowance in the amount of 50 tyiyns per 1 kWh for consumption up to 700 kWh per month;
- to take measures arising from this Decree, including providing for the introduction of amendments to the regulatory legal acts of the Kyrgyz Republic in accordance with the established procedure.
