Bishkek, Feb. 8, 2019. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov received Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic-speaking countries (TURKPA) Altynbek Mamayusupov on Friday, the press service of the President’s Office of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
“I am confident that you will make every effort to make inter-parliamentary cooperation and multilateral relations of the Turkic-speaking states even better and reach a high level,” Jeenbekov told, congratulating Mamayusupov on his appointment as Secretary General of TURKPA.
The Secretary General of TURKPA noted the positive dynamics of cooperation processes of the Turkic-speaking states, the revitalization of work in the parliamentary direction. “Active work is being carried out by TURKPA commissions in 4 areas – economic, international, social, humanitarian, environmental and natural resources,” Altynbek Mamayusupov informed.
On the same day, Jeenbekov received Secretary General of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-speaking States (CCTS) Baghdad Amreyev, congratulated him on his appointment to this position, wishing success and fruitful activities.
The President noted that Kyrgyzstan, plans to hold significant events during its chairmanship at the CCTS, and is open to good initiatives and proposals. Sooronbay Jeenbekov stressed the need to bring to the fore the issues of cooperation in the economic sphere.
“It is necessary to hold events aimed at the development of trade and economic cooperation between the states of the CCTS, to consider the possibility of holding business forums,” the President suggested.
Secretary General of the CCTS Baghdad Amreyev highlighted the success of the meeting of the CCTS in the summer of 2018 in Kyrgyzstan, chaired by the Kyrgyz Republic.
“I am confident that during the chairmanship of the Kyrgyz Republic at the CCTS, interstate relations will reach an even higher level,” Amreyev noted.
