Bishkek, Mar.11, 2020. /Kabar/. Yesterday, Mar.10 Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov visited the Batken Zonal Veterinary Laboratory.
Jeenbekov’s visit took place as part of his two-day working trip to Batken Oblast, his press service said.
The main purpose of this laboratory is to control the epizootic situation and conduct various veterinary laboratory and diagnostic studies.
The Kyrgyz leader reminded that with Kyrgyzstan’s accession the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), the issues of bringing the country's infrastructure, including the laboratories, in line with the requirements of the Union were topical.
The construction of the new building of the Batken Zonal Veterinary Laboratory was launched in 2016. Currently, similar laboratories are functioning in Talas, Balykchi and Karakol towns.
Sooronbay Jeenbekov noted ensuring the quality and safety of products is an important task of the state, along with their bringing to foreign markets. He stressed the quality of products sent for export directly affects the image of the country.
Further, the President familiarized himself with the activities of Anvarbek agricultural cooperative in Batken town.
The cooperative is developing about 20 hectares of land. Almond seedlings will be grown on them by drip irrigation. The head of the state together with head of the agricultural cooperative planted tree seedlings.
It is expected that 40 jobs will be created in this cooperative by the end of 2020.
Jeenbekov noted with satisfaction that such farmers and entrepreneurs will help develop the regions and the country as a whole. He called on the state and local authorities to support the initiatives of rural entrepreneurs and to create all necessary conditions for the development of their activities.
