Bishkek, July 27, 2024 . / Kabar / . President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov took part in the official opening ceremony of the 33rd Summer Olympic Games in Paris.
The Kyrgyz leader and his spouse Aigul Zhaparova were welcomed at the Elysee Palace by French President Emmanuel Macron and First Lady Brigitte Macron.
The opening ceremony of the Olympic Games took place on the river Seine.
85 boats with delegations of countries sailed down the river past the famous sights of Paris.
The national flag of Kyrgyzstan was held in the hands of judoka Erlan Sherov.
The guests of the ceremony, including leaders of foreign countries, representatives of foreign delegations and heads of international organizations, were shown an artistic performance demonstrating the culture of France.
The national team of Kyrgyzstan includes 16 athletes competing in five sports: wrestling, judo, swimming, athletics and boxing.
At the end of the ceremony, French President Emmanuel Macron declared the Games open.
About 10 thousand athletes from 206 countries, as well as more than a hundred heads of state and members of government attended the opening ceremony.
