Bishkek, Feb. 25, 2021. / Kabar /. Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov met with Chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matviyenko, his press service said on Friday.
Prior to the meeting start, the Kyrgyz president left an entry in the Honorary Guests book, after which members of the delegations of Kyrgyzstan and the Russian Federal Assembly were introduced.
Sadyr Zhaparov and Valentina Matviyenko exchanged views on a number of topical issues of Kyrgyz-Russian cooperation, including the inter-parliamentary ties between the two countries.
Chairwoman of the Russian Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko noted that the fact that Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov paid his first visit as head of state to Russia is a confirmation of the current high level of bilateral relations between the countries.
She also expressed gratitude for the attention paid to the development of inter-parliamentary relations, which positively affects the strengthening of relations of friendship between Kyrgyzstan and Russia.
Sadyr Zhaparov noted with satisfaction the achieved high level of interparliamentary relations between Kyrgyzstan and Russia.
He emphasized the high efficiency of the meetings of the bilateral commission on cooperation between the Jogorku Kenesh and the Federal Assembly.
The Kyrgyz president expressed confidence that today's negotiations and the agreements reached will contribute to strengthening the foundation of bilateral cooperation and further dynamic development of the Kyrgyz-Russian allied relations and strategic partnership.
