President Zhaparov concludes state visit to Kazakhstan

Bishkek, March 3, 2021. / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan’s President Sadyr Zhaparov paid on March 3-4 a state visit to Kazakhstan, his press service reported.

The state visit began with a ceremony of an official meeting with Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

The heads of state held talks in narrow and extended formats, discussed topical issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, as well as further prospects for joint interaction.

During the state visit, a number of documents aimed at further deepening Kyrgyz-Kazakh bilateral cooperation were signed, including a Joint Statement by Presidents Sadyr Zhaparov and Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

In addition, the Kyrgyz leader held meetings with First President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, Chairman of the Majilis of the Kazakh Parliament Nurlan Nigmatulin and Prime Minister Askar Mamin.

The head of state also visited the museum of Kazakhstan's First President Nursultan Nazarbayev, and laid a wreath at the Monument of the Defenders of the Fatherland in Nur-Sultan.

The second day of Zhaparov's state visit began with a meeting with the business community and representatives of Kazakhstan's business circles.

Besides, the Kyrgyz president presented the state award of Kyrgyzstan – the Order of Dostuk to the only narrator of the Manas epic in Kazakhstan Bayangali Alimzhanov.

The state visit ended with a joint visit of Sadyr Zhaparov and Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to the Astana International Financial Center.

Today, March 3, President Sadyr Zhaparov has returned to Bishkek.
