Bishkek, Nov. 28, 2023 . / Kabar / . President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov spoke today at the national youth forum "Kyyalymdagy Kyrgyzstan" (Kyrgyzstan of my dreams) held in Bishkek.
Welcoming the audience, the Kyrgyz leader noted that this national forum is a very suitable platform for discussing a wide range of issues related to the life of young people together with the responsible government agencies.
Sadyr Zhaparov recalled the youth forum he initiated in January 2021, when he was a presidential candidate and met with young people.
He emphasized that today a record amount of the state debt is being reliably paid. In addition, we have managed to increase wages, pensions and benefits several times. Our army has been strengthened. New equipment has been purchased for almost all sectors of the economy.
"One of the main tasks for me now is to create new jobs and build affordable housing. These are the issues that concern the youth of Kyrgyzstan most of all. Creating conditions for decent employment for our youth is the surest way to develop our nation as a whole. I will not go into details, but soon you will see dozens of new production facilities that have been agreed upon for years begin to open. For example, an agreement has been signed on the construction of a 1000 MW solar power plant in Issyk-Kul. Negotiations with China Power, the world's largest energy company, started two and a half years ago," Sadyr Zhaparov said.
He urged the youth to focus on the following three areas.
The first is the direction of rapid uptake of new knowledge, innovation and technology, the second is strengthening national unity and solidarity and the third direction is the obligation to cherish our beautiful nature.
The president of Kyrgyzstan assured the youth that he would strengthen support for the education and vocational training system so that they become owners of a worthy profession. Special attention is paid to ensuring youth employment in new sectors of the economy.
In conclusion, Sadyr Zhaparov called on the younger generation to work together, to build a society that follows the path of sustainable development, where the rule of law is established, where elders and juniors are respected.
